Today on the show, I’m talking with my good friend, Matt Chittim. Matt is the host of the Rambling Runner Podcast—a longtime favorite where he highlights amateur athletes and occasionally brings pros on as well. You might also know him from his Road to the Trials series, which was hugely popular and so fun to follow.
Matt and I have really grown up in the podcasting space together, and he’s truly one of my biggest cheerleaders. But honestly? He’s that person for so many in this space—he supports and uplifts others in such a genuine way, and it’s just who he is.
He’s also the brains behind Relay, the podcast I co-host with an incredible group of people in the running world. Matt dreamed it up, pitched us all on the idea, and brought it to life with so much heart. I’m proud to be part of it and grateful that he brought me along for the ride.
Outside of podcasting, Matt is a dad of two, a former college fundraiser, and a true sports enthusiast—not just running, but across the board. I always love our conversations about other sports, too.
In this episode, we get into all of that—his path into podcasting, building a community, what drives him, and what he’s dreaming up next.
I hope you enjoy it—and if you do, it would mean a lot if you left a quick rating and review. And of course, be sure to check out Matt’s show, The Rambling Runner, and follow him over on Instagram at @rambling_runner.
All right, let’s get to it. Please enjoy my conversation with Matt Chittim.
