Today on the podcast is a crossover from my podcast for runners, the I’ll Have Another Podcast. My guest is Hollie Hughes. Hollie is an incredible woman. She is the mother of four and she pushes her son Jonah, who has Cerebral Palsy, in a Team Hoyt chair. He is 12 now and she has been pushing him since he was a baby. Jonah and Holly run so many miles and races together. It is such a unique relationship and way to experience races. Holly runs really fast running Jonah and Jonah is her biggest cheerleader. She has run a sub-3 hour marathon while pushing Jonah. Most recently, Jonah and Hollie ran a 50 mile race and ran it in 7 hours and 53 minutes. We cover a wide range of topics in this episode.
Trigger warning: at the beginning of the episode, we do discuss some pretty severe mental health struggles and the topic of suicide attempts does come up in this episode.
