Makenna Myler is a professional runner for Asics. Makenna ran for BYU. She qualified for the Olympic Trials in the 10k in 2021 and finished 14th less than a year after giving birth to her daughter. Makenna also went viral on TikTok after running a 5:25 mile at 9 months pregnant. She has been running PRs since having her daughter and in this episode we talk about what that looks like.
One thing that Makenna is really passionate about is how women train and how we can take advantage of knowing the different phases of our menstrual cycles to work hard when it most makes sense and to listen to our bodies and know that they are ever changing throughout the month. She has been doing some videos about it on her Instagram, @benzmakenz, sharing the information that she has learned from Dr. Stacy Sims who will be on the podcast soon!
