Can you imagine going to school with no electricity? Or quitting your job at Google to move to Uganda? 

Today’s guest took a sabbatical from working for Google in ads sales to move to Uganda and had a vision to bring light to rural communities without electricity. Jay Patel is social entrepreneur who co-founded two startups: Enlight Institute, which provides solar recruitment, training, and assessment services for companies hiring rural youth, and Village Energy, which does last-mile solar distribution in off-grid communities. Jay shares his personal and professional journey that led him to Uganda and then through the launching, growing and evolving of these organizations he founded.
