Lanni Marchant is on the show today! Lanni is a Canadian runner and she is a 2016 Olympian where she ran both the 10,000m and the marathon. She held the Canadian record in the marathon for 6 years from 2013-2019 with a 2:28. Since the 2016 Olympics, she has had a wild few years of surgeries, loss in her life, grief and so much that she has walked through. She took some time off of running and you’ll hear what that was like in this episode. After that, she decided to run the NYC marathon this fall where she unexpectedly placed 11th and ran a 2:32. In that race, she raised money for an addiction awareness program.
